Where have you gone? It is 3:14am and I have still not found you!
I have not been able to catch any zzzzzzs lately. The second I lay down, I am either just watching Jason knowing how much I will miss him or thinking about what NY is going to be like...or both.
I am going to living on the UWS which I have been told has a real neighborhoody feel to it, which will be nice since I will be away from home. I just can't believe that today is Tuesday and tomorrow is Wednesday, my last day here before I leave for NYC. I'm amazed.
I heard a couple of songs today that I have been playing over and over because they are just beautiful.
"Leave me in New York" by HOPE and
"You are the best thing" by Ray LaMontagne (Jason's song)
Music is and has always been, such a huge part of my life. I take after my father in that, it feels like I need it like the air I breathe. My dad (James Lancaster) is a musician and has inspired me to chase my dreams. I can take that with me to NYC. My mom, she is fearless. She is the strongest, most wonderful woman I know and I take that with me to NYC. I'm so lucky to be around such amazing people. Jason, my husband, is my pulse. He is constant and motivating, he believes in me and supports me in everything I do, and has been amazing through this whole process.
So, with these comforting thoughts, I will try to put my mind and heart at rest.
Wish me luck ;)

New Year's Eve
2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW! It is coming soon! New Year's Eve is the last day I have with my husband, family and friends. I'm so excited to go, but still a little scared, but fear is good. It motivates!
I've been meeting with the Idaho Youth Ranch a lot as I am a scholarship recipient and trying to get things settled with my Boise State stuff before I leave.
They have really helped me a lot. I have a couple of sponsors for New York, which is so amazing. It is just a really awesome feeling to know that I have people out their supporting me, gives me all-the-more drive.
I am watching the TODAY SHOW right now and just can't believe I am going to be a part of that. I have always followed the show since I can remember and now I get to intern for this show that has always been the ULTIMATE GOAL. WOW.
Still in shock.
Still in shock.
Well, I've got to go and pack. I have 5 days left. Jason is working today and tomorrow, so I am going to try and get everything done while he is at work, so when he is home I can spend time with him.

8 days

I am sitting with my 2 pups (Sprocket-who is the black and white one & Foxy - who is the creamy-looking one). I am going to miss them so much, they are the best dogs in the whole world. As you can see, Sprocket is licking his little face there on the couch!
I won't do a count down on here, but Christmas is in 2 days and I am leaving in 9 days (my last posting said 9, but today is actually 9) ;) How flippin exciting. I've started packing, but it's hard to pack for 6 months.
I still have so many people to go and see before I leave! I need to see Ari again before I leave as I am sure to have massive buddy withdrawals. I need to go and see Baby Madison (which is Jenna and Nick's new baby. I need to go and have girl time with my sister and see Sheena and her new baby boy, Xander, too.
I have so many people supporting me through all of this, it makes it so much easier to have such amazing people around me. It does pay off to be picky about the people you surround yourself with. I am so excited about this journey and can't wait to go and intern for the most prestigious company out there and the company I have wanted to work for since I was a little girl--NBC! The Today Show has always been a goal of mine and I can't explain the feeling of actually being a part of it for a semester.
WOW!

Ah, the start...
Well, I said I would start a blog due to the fact that I am leaving Idaho and heading to NYC for my internship. I have 9 days....9 DAYS! I just can't believe it. This is going to be pretty amazing-- I get to live my dream for 6 months. I am terrified and excited, sad to leave and happy to leave...all at once.
